DIY flower headband

I don't know if I'm the only one that obsessed over Taylor Swift's flower headbands that she wore everywhere. I think they are super adorable, but I could never find one anywhere. Well with a little searching I found out how to make my own! Compliments of Seventeen.com! DIY projects are so much fun, that sense of accomplishment when you finish, I just love it. Making this headband yourself is better for one huge reason...you can make it however you want it and that means it's unique! What you need is: elastic (any color or width is fine, just long enough to wrap around your head!), fake flower and a safety pin! Super simple right? Here's what I did:

Supplies! The elastic, jumbo safety pins and bouquet of fake flowers all purchased at craft store!

Cut one flower from my bouquet.

Cut elastic to fit around my head.

Pierced flower bottom with safety pin.

Strung elastic on safety pin at ends.

Closed safety pin. For added secure, I used a hot glue gun to hold ends of elastic flush against flower. (not shown here)

Wearing my new super cute headband!!

I wore it with:
Leggings & tunic Forever 21
Jacket & shoes Urban Outfitters

And these were my fun nails!!
I used Wet n Wild Wild Shine in French White Crème as a base and Julep Nail in Oscar on top!

I just got back from my bf's parents house for the super bowl. Such a drag, except I did enjoy the commercials and half time. Other than that I was buried in my Elle magazine and listening to music on my iPhone. What did everyone else do for super bowl Sunday? Anything more fun than me??

Well tomorrow I want to post another DIY hair accessory. I hope you liked this one! I liked it because it's so easy and cute! I got a lot of compliments on it. Okay well ta for now *yawn* super tired after a boring afternoon!!
